Efficient Energy Monitoring and Cost Savings!

JANUARY 6, 2004 (SINGAPORE) - Omron's
KM20 power sensor is developed in responding to the increasing industrial
users' concern in the market trend of energy monitoring and energy-saving
management by measuring the power used on production lines and equipments.
Ideal for users who have ISO14001 certification or who want to reduce
energy consumption, KM20 helps you to collect and monitor the power
consumption of machines/equipments in your facility.
It measures current using a current transformer, and provides pulse signal
in proportion to the power consumption.
The correlation between production output and actual power consumption is
an important factor of determining production efficiency, thus cost and
profit analysis can be done with managing the energy consumption of each
machine and equipment.
With its compact slim body, KM20 can be easily mounted on existing
equipment using its separate-type transformer.
Users can install it with counter when monitoring one or a few points. In
the case of Multi-point monitoring of power consumption in a facility or
process, a PLC or an Open Network Controller is used together with a
Monitoring Software as a complete system to analyze/monitor energy data on
PC through data logging, collection and reporting.
