A. Remote Teaching System

Maximize AOI Uptime While Simplifying System Programming

The RTS (Remote Teaching system) performs all the teaching that is normally done directly on the AOI itself. This makes it possible to maximize the amount of time that inspection system is actually performing its inspection functions. Additionally, because the RTS receives its images from a network or an MO (magneto optical disk), it is possible to provide teaching support at a remote location. As it operates as a stand-alone machine, the images from AOI can be used for training purposes too!

Moreover, because VT-WINII can output defective component images to the database via Ethernet, It simplifies and shortens the program adjustment time using the captured fault images. No PCB is needed to keep for checking. It adapts the VT-WINII for ‘Just In Time’ production processes. The adjusted program will then be automatically updated.

The RTS comes completely configured with the Teaching Interface (TI) software. The TI (Teaching Interface) is an Automatic Inspection Program Creation System. It lets you to program from CAD data and build a customized component library. The TI software automatically correlates the CAD and/or placement machine data with each component model in the VT-WINII Component Library (containing inspection settings for each component) to produce an inspection program.

B. Information Analysis

Quality Feedback for Continuous Process Improvement

The Information Analysis software produces reports to enable the analysis of historical inspection data. It allows viewing of graphs and reports for a variety of different types of data that are generated by AOI machines.

It can produce several different reports, including
• Usage Analysis – analyses the usage of programs or machines
• Production Analysis – analyses the production results (pass or fail) of programs, machines or operators
• Inspection Analysis – analyses the defects identified during the inspection process
• Repair Analysis – analyses the defects identified during or after the repair process
• Distribution Analysis – analyses the density of faults on a PCB before or after repair process

C. Repair System

Simple Operation and Easy to Use

The Repair Station software offers a platform to supports repair operators by displaying the inspection results and recording repair results.

User friendly features complements the whole process
• ‘Zoom’ function helps to magnify the normal size at specific location of entire PCB to check on the location of component.
• ‘Image’ function allows viewing of actual images of defective components to pinpoint the problem
