Question
What is the service life of the LD laser diode?
Answer
Approximately 50,000 hours (at 40°C, 10% failure rate). At room
temperature (approx 25°C), it is 100,000 hours.
The service life of a laser diode is approximately 50,000 hours. (10%
failure rate at ambient temperature of 40°C)
The laser is pulse driven at a ratio of 1/5 so it is designed to have a
long service life. For every 10°C rise in temperature, the service life
will be reduced by half.
The Smart Sensor has a laser lifetime
deterioration detection function.
